We'll say it again: Selling your home requires a fair amount of work. We repeat this over and over just to make sure you don't think there is some shortcut, magic potion or "hack" to selling your home. There isn't. You can either pay someone to do some of that work for you (in the form of a commission paid to a listing agent) or you can do the work yourself and pocket the savings. The way you save money using FSBO Sherpa is by taking ownership of the tasks you would traditionally pay a listing agent to do. Some of the tasks that will be on your plate include:
- Preparing your home for sale.
- Thoroughly cleaning (we mean REALLY cleaning!) and staging your home.
- Determining an accurate market value for your home (with our help).
- Launching a social media campaign for your home (we will help with that as well).
- Answering and responding timely to inquiries on your home.
- Scheduling and facilitating showings of your home.
- Host any open houses (optional).
- Keeping your home in "show ready" condition while it's listed for sale (this is no easy feat!).
- Determining if buyers are truly qualified (Show me the pre-approval!).
- Accepting offers from buyers.
- Negotiating offers from buyers.
- Scheduling appointments with appraisers, home inspectors, fire department, closing attorney, etc...
- Keeping substantially more of your hard-earned equity after your home sells! Also known as, the "Very Best Part"!
